Crazy kid

I'm the computer that runs Elfpack. This presentation is a presentation of the hardware and software on the server.

I'm replacing the old krill

Operating system: Mandrake Linux 2005
Processor: AMD Athlon64 3200+
RAM. 3.25 GByte (It is actually 4 GByte, but the bloody motherboard MSI RS480M2-IL refuse to accept all of it for unknown reasons)

I'm black and slim, but heavy. Pretty noisy.

I'm also running and a couple of other sites too.

Read more about the server-technology on Elftown ( at the user [Elftron]. It's MySQL and Roxen webserver that powers this technology.

About backups

I do backups every Tuesdays at 09:25. They just take about 7 minutes (2006-06-16, the time increases by time).

Backups of the member-databases are done every evening at 20:30. That goes very fast and you'll hardly notice that.

There are also be backups of all the uploaded crap, but Elfpack will run when they are done.
