Bill Denbrough
The leader of the losers club, as a boy his little brother Georgie is killed by Pennywise, he leads all of his freinds against Pennywise. He has a terrible stutter that others make fun of. He is nicknamed Big Bill.
He first encountered ITs power (according to the book) when he went into his dead brothers room to look at his brothers pictures. The picture winked and blood came out of it.
He also opens the book later with Richie and they see themselves and Pennywise in the past, Bill trys to stick his hand into the photo world and gets many deep cuts.
He and Richie also go to the house on Neibolt street to try and kill IT. They are chased out by a werewolf and only escape beacuse Bill had Silver to help him.
As a man he comes back to Derry to get revenge for his brothers death.


Mike Hanlon
As a boy he is prosecuted and tormented beacuse he has a different color of skin, he meets the losers club while trying to escape from Henry Bowers and they forge an unbreakable freindship.
His first encounter with IT happend when his dad sent him to the Ironworks. While he was looking for a souvineer the giant bird Rodan attacked him. He fought back and escaped. Also when mike was in the 4th of july parade he saw the same clown on almost every street.
As a man, he stays in Derry to make sure that if IT comes back, he can call the others. He gathers everyone back for a final showdown against Pennywise.


Beverly Marsh
As a young lady she is physically abused by her father. She joins the losers club looking for the freindship and love that her father never showed her.
She first finds out about IT when she hears voices in her sink, blood comes out and goes everywhere. Her parents can't see it and with the help of Ben, Eddie, and Stan they clean it all up.
As a woman she has a physically abusive husband. She comes back to Derry hoping to be rid of her fear and her hatred.


Richie "Trashmouth" Tozier
As a boy, he trys to keep everyone laughing and look at things in a funny way rather than be so serious all the time.
His first encounter with IT happens after he escapes from Henry Bowers. He sits in front of the Paul Bunyan statue only to discover that it comes alive and tries to kill him.
As a man he realizes his life long goal and becomes a commedian, he comes back to Derry to see his old freinds one more time. He also had adventures with Bill scroll up to see.
