This is the place where you can exchange art with randomly selected artists of the same calibur as you!
How does it work?!
In short: you sign up and once a month you're assigned a commission via priviate message. You turn your commission in and it's given to the person that asked for it. That person doesn't know who will create their request, so it will be a surprise!
Only when you make commissions for others do you get to request yourself. You will not know who will actually draw your request, until of course it is posted in the category wiki!
Read the rules for further details and have fun!

Please read the rules:

1. Artists wanting to participate will need to provide a sample piece of art. This piece will be rated by the EAX Moderators and the artist placed in a star-category, ranging from 1-5 stars; artists will only participate in the category they are assigned. Artists may ask to be re-evaluated after 3 rounds of exchanges.

2. Artists need to use their own work. This is non-negotiable. Any user caught with plagiarized art will be banned from participating and reported to the guards.

3. Rounds will be once per month. Submissions need to be in by the last day of the month. (ie. To participate in April, have your submission from March done by March 31.) Artists who do not complete their commission will not be allowed to participate in the next round.

4. Minors cannot ask for R or X rated art. Minors are also not allowed to draw R or X rated art. Minors who attempt to do so will be warned the first time, and banned from participating the second time.

5. Art will be divided by category. More categories will be added by popular demand. The available categories are as follows:

Still Life Art Exchange -- for inanimate objects, ie. a car
Realisitc Art Exchange -- for animate objects, ie. a dog or cat
Fantasy Art Exchange -- for fantasy creatures not drawn in the anime style, ie. dragons or realisitc elves
Anime Art Exchange -- for character art done in the japanese or korean anime style
Photography Art Exchange -- for photographs
Abstract Art Exchange -- for abstract art
R-rated Art Exchange -- all categories except with violence or gore *note* this art MUST be uploaded directly to the wiki!!
X-rated Art Exchange -- all categories except with sexually explicit content *note* this art MUST be uploaded directly to the wiki!!

6. Artists wanting to participate need to fill out the following form and submit it to EAX Applications:
     Username:
     Preferred Category:
     Age:
     Sample Work:
     Title:

7. Round one will begin as soon as we have 2 or more artists in the same category of the same calibur.

And remember! Have fun with this!

2005-06-20 [Sunrose]: Yes, that still didn't answer my question. What will you do with a's commision if c didn't do his work?

2005-06-21 [Sunrose]: So you get the piece of art when you yourself didn't do the work you were asked to do?

2005-06-21 [Solitiaum]: Aye...

2005-06-22 [Stephen]: That seems to be a small hole. An extremely unfair hole.

2005-06-22 [Solitiaum]: No one has complained at the livejournal AAX...

2005-06-22 [Sunrose]: At the what? Anyways I find it unfair and others probably didn't complain becaus ethey didn't think of this. These things should also be explained in the description at the top of the wiki. If we get confused, then others certainly will.

2005-06-23 [Solitiaum]: Livejournal anime art exchange. But then, we've never had anyone maliciously use the exchange just to get what they wanted, either...

2005-06-24 [Sunrose]: But they are probably all serious artists?

2005-06-24 [Solitiaum]: If someone does *that*, then there will be a ban in order, I think. And they wont get their art. o.o

2005-06-26 [Stephen]: Hmmm.... still, that makes the orginal art worth nothing.. which would be unfair to the artist who actually drew what they were supossed to.

2005-06-26 [Sunrose]: So the banned person doesn't get the art, then who gets it?

2005-06-26 [Stephen]: It could be put up for display... or maybe in a "adopt an artwork" page.

2005-06-28 [Solitiaum]: or auctioned for togs to the artist...

2005-06-28 [Sunrose]: Make a decision though, because it should be added to the rules. And maybe some additional explanation because we have asked far too many questions the wiki should've answered :/

2005-06-28 [Solitiaum]: Ok... Artists who deliberatly use the exchange to get what they want without any intention of giving it back will be banned, and the artwork done for them auctioned off for togs, which will go to the artist's account in the tog bank. Artists who participate in the exchange, but are hung up by real time issues and so cannot complete their commission will have a month to complete it, provided they give the moderator of their category notice, and will not be allowed to request art until it is complete. If they do not complete it within that extra month, they will be banned, and the art done for them will be auctioned off.

2005-06-29 [Sunrose]: Banned from what? And what if almost no artists plays Toggery? Then they'd have no togs either....

2005-06-29 [Solitiaum]: Banned from the Exchange, of course! And well, then, uhm... *sighs* For coolpoints, I guess... o.o;

2005-06-29 [Sunrose]: Coolpoints would have to be arranged somehow then. And I am only trying to help you....

2005-06-29 [Stephen]: This is an intresting problem.... and for coolpoints, someone would have to kill their cool points.

2005-06-29 [Solitiaum]: That would be me... I would kill mine for the sake of the competition... I dont understand the buggers anyhoo...

2005-06-29 [Solitiaum]: OR OR OR... I make a house for the Exchange and it, uhm, it gives out the cool points *nodnod*
