Shigure and his teammates, Baiu and Midare, confronted Gaara in the Shi no Mori (Forest of Death). Not much is known about him, except that he also carries several umbrellas on his back and interestingly, what appears to be an oxygen tank. Gaara uses Sabaku Kyū (The Coffin of Crushing Sand literally "Desert Coffin") followed by Sabaku Sōsō (Imploding Sand Funeral literally "Desert Graveyard") to kill him and his two teammates.

Trivia

"Shigure" is a type of shower in late autumn or early winter in Japan, a reference to his village, Amegakure (Hidden Rain).
