A Genin level ninja, not much is known about this Sound Ninja. She is in the Chūnin Selection Exam on a mission with her comrades to kill Uchiha Sasuke. In the third stage preliminaries she is matched against Nara Shikamaru, who defeats her through his Kagemane no Jutsu (The Art of Me-and-My-Shadow) by contracting his shadow and sneaking it under the string attached to a needle she threw; she did not notice that a string at that height wouldn't cast a shadow.

Kin is later killed by Orochimaru in order to be one of the sacrifices needed to summon the Shodai and Nidaime Hokage from their graves with his Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei (Summoning: Impure World Resurrection).

Trivia:

-Kin is named for the sound of metal clashing.
