The first of the Hokage, the Shodai is the founder of Konohagakure. He is the older brother of the Nidaime, and the grandfather of Tsunade (5th Hokage). He saw the people of Konoha as a part of him, and put them first before anything. His spirit even now takes a firm root in Konoha.

-He is often erroneously called Shodaime. His correct title is Shodai (Founder, First generation).
