霧と繭 begins with a spoken-word monologue by 京, before the sound of a door closing. The song is very fast-tempo and features fast drum beats.

惨劇の夜 does not feature the spoken-word monologue or the sound of the door; it instead leads right into the music. The instruments are not as loud (most notably the guitar). Additionally, in the breakdown of the song, when 京 laughs, the sound of his laughter is echoed, unlike in the original version of the song.
