Merfolk of the world

A hundered years ago there was a flood that covered the whole world, killing most people and animals. Most people called it the Flood of God others called it Global Warming . But the human race survived...well kinda of. A scientist, Professor William Mead, knew about the flood, he invented a shot that will give human the ablity to breath underwater but it when wrong. Most of the humans turned into merfolk but the other humans died because they couldn't handle the change. There are only 400 hundered merfolk on earth, living there lifes like normal. They have re-build cities, towns, villiages, learned new ways of living, found new things to eat. Some of the merfolk say it's better this way, that the humans are now merfolk, that life is easyer but it is really? Is it easyer that people are fighting over who should lead them? Is it easyer to live with a tail?

It has been a month since the world has been re-built but the temporay leador, Harry Walker, died, some say killed while others say a shark. So now the merfolk are trying to lead each other but if this gose on any longer it will end up in a civl war. So far there have been two choises for a leader Marcus Jones, who was a laywer when he was a human and the person he is against is Michael Price who was a Judge when he was human. So the merfolk have two choise, Marcus or Michael?
