Shadow

Sometimes I feel like I'm fading,
Slipping away into the darkness,
That consumes me,
And when I try to figure out why,
The reason evades me,
Slipping through my fingers,
Like smoke,
A shadow,
That lingers in the darkest part of my mind.

And I wonder if I can ever escape,
I wonder if this darkness that lingers,
The shadow that follows me always,
Will ever let me be,
I doubt it,
She stands in front of me and taunts me,
Looking me dead in my eyes,
Striking me to my knees with one look,
I am weak,

I pray for salvation at her feet,
Begging her to help me,
I fall,
The Shadow taking over,
Becoming me,
Her dark vial of a soul,
Forcing me into submission,

I feel like I'm fading,
Only this time,
I think I really am,
I don't feel like me,
Not anymore,
So I guess I'll fade,
Become the Shadow,
That lingers in the back of their minds,
A faceless figure,
Just beyond reach,

Maybe eventually they will all give up,
They would give up hope,
On ever grabbing hold of that memory,
And they will let me fade to,
So till then,
I shall be known as Shadow.

Undying Fate

She looks and stairs into his eye,
Gazing so deep that she is lost,
She forgets the world around her,
The world that has scorned her so much,
She never thought she could feel like this,
Not even close,
And yet here he stands,
Captivating her with every thing he does,
Trapping her in a cocoon made of bliss,
Forcing her to feel her most inner desires,
And she does,
For him she willingly lets her defenses down,
For him she melts like water,
She pulls his body close to her
And breathes in his scent,
Just as intoxicating as his eyes,
She falls again,
Bathed in the sweet cascading scent,
Letting it fill her,
Feeling the heat burst from his body,
His skin softer than satin silk sheets,
She wraps herself in him,
As he embraces her,
Pressing so gently his lips to hers,
They kiss,
Passion flooding their vains,
He kisses her so softly,
But with a force of passion so strong,
Her heart lept in her chest,
In one instant she had felt a love so pure,
So crystal clear,
That she wept a single tear,
But brushed it away before it could be seen,
As he pulled back she realized,
That everything she felt,
Everything she had hoped for,
Was more real than anything she had ever had before.

Lost Princess

I still think of you,
Even though I know I shouldn't,
I'll listen to a song and you will cross my mind,
A scar that will send everlasting pain,
But I heard a song that matched so bad my heart,
And I realize that I am over it,
Its only a scar that has healed,
It shows but does no physical pain,
A mistake,

I have learned,
From what you did to me,
I have learned more than you know,
Never again will I give my heart so blindly,
Cause so silently you stole mine,
And then you left it bleeding and breaking,

It doesn't really matter now,
I feel no pain from you,
You are just a memory,
A shadow in the back of my mind,
I wish you well,
I really do,
But this is my final farewell to my prince,
My one.
