U2-3 is the name of U2's first studio release. It was released in vinyl format by CBS Records (now Columbia), and was only available in Ireland.

It was initially available as a 12-inch, before being released as a 7-inch as well. There was also an initial limited run of 1000 individual numbered copies. It was reprinted four times but the original vinyl is now considered a collector's item. U2-3 was first released in CD format in 2008, as part of the Boy album remaster.

The track order was determined by a listener poll via Dave Fanning's radio show.

"Out of Control" and "Stories For Boys" were both re-recorded for the Boy album.

U2-3 peaked at #19 on the Irish Singles chart.
