2006-08-20 [FireGypsy]: This is unfair! I was told I was disqualified because I have won previous contests. When [Hedda] could have stopped me from entering in the first place. Or he could even have added me to the "not so good" list when he was narrowing down the entries. I feel that I have been cheated and he had no reason to disqualify me. If anything, he should have allowed me to win, and told me I could not enter any more. But even that, that is unfair. If I am winning, its for a good reason! You cant make a cutoff of the amount of contests someone is allowed to be winning in!

The thing about contests like this that would seemingly require a certain amount of actual talent is that the "winners" haven't actually beaten everyone because someone with more talent may have been beaten on a technicality.

Either way, it's just a silly little Elfpack contest and as fair or unfair as it may be, you should be more proud of the fact that you put together a decent effort. Winning on Elfpack is like finding a quarter on the sidewalk--sure, it's nice, but I have a $20 bill in my wallet.

The poll was a advisory poll and I overruled it. It's as simple as that. I wanted good examples of photo-albums and that was a good example, but the winners were better.

If you don't like it, create your own competitions! Elfpack is willing to help you.

I was thinking of making an "all things small" contest, where people take pictures of miniaturized things they see, and the best ones win. Or something like "capture the word" where I put up a word every month, and people take pictures of things they see with the word on it, and the funniest one wins and such ^-^
