How do I begin with Toggery?

So you want to become a Toggery player? Here's a quick guide to save you from getting lost along the way :)

First, you must check out the rules at Rules of Toggery. This will give you an idea of the game and an idea of what you need to do to play. The game itself is very simple, and success lies in good fortune, so don't get caught up in them if you think the rules seem complicated.

Now you know what the game is about, proceed to Toggery Registration to get your first card and togs! Togs are the currency used to buy cards for Toggery, but you need to register before you can do anything else.

Remeber, you must be patient while you are waiting to be registered as the Toggery Comittee are very busy!

I'm registered, now what?

OK, so now you have your first card in your house? This also means you have 10 Togs in the bank to spend at the Toggery Card Store ^_^ With this you can buy two cards from the Starter Group so you have a full set, as each of those cards are worth 5 togs.

If you are planning on playing Toggery, go for the cards you think are strong. If you are more interested in collecting the cards, just find the cards you like the look of: if you don't want to play, it's not fair to take the strongest cards because that means other players might miss out v_V

I have chosen the cards I want!

Once you have decided which cards you would like to purchase, run along to Toggery Card Purchase and put in your order under the 'Basic Purchase list'. Remember, you need to choose two from the Starter Group and they must be in stock. Failure to follow this rule will mean that your cards aren't delivered :(

When can I have a match?

First you should go to Tourny Registration and see if there are registrations being taken for the next tournament. The prizes for this are a special Trophy and eternal glory :P You get 5 extra togs just for registering.

If there are no Tournaments currently open for registrants, be sure to put the page on watch to be informed of any changes!

You can also check out Exhibition and see if anybody there will have a quick match with you. There are no prizes for this... apart from gloating rights of course ;)

How do I get more Togs?

As said above, registering at Tourny Registration will give you 5 extra togs in The Tog Bank. This means that if you register before buying your first set of cards, you can have 15 togs to spend on your first purchase (instead of 10) and you can buy stronger cards! You can also save them up in the bank.

Also take a look at Community Service for Togs. There are some great ways to earn Togs, but be warned: you have to work hard for them! :P

How can I get better cards?

This all depends on how many togs you have earned. If you don't earn any, you can never buy any new cards :(

If you decide you want to buy new cards at any point, you must trade one you have for one in the store. You will be refunded half the price of the card you are trading in. You can't trade for a card in the Starter Group though, so you need to have quite a few togs in The Tog Bank!
