Lyrics

The world is full of terror
If someone makes an error
He's gonna blow us up to biddy biddy kingdom come
There are some crazy rulers they hide and try to fool us
With demonic, technologic willingness to harm.
They're gonna push the button
push the button push the bu push the bu push the button
Il y a plein de souffrance
Dans les rues il y a trop de violence
Et on a beaucoup de chance d’être vivant même pas blessés
Avancement tactique de régime fanatique
Situation tragique qui me met les larmes aux yeux

(There's plenty of suffering
In the streets there's too much violence
And we're lucky to be alive without being wounded
Tactical advances, fanatical regimes
Tragic situation that bring tears to my eyes)

And I don't want to die
I want to see the flowers bloom
Don't wanna go capoot ka boom.
And I don't want to cry
I wanna have a lot of fun
Just sitting in the sun

But nevertheless
He's gonna push the button
Push the button push the bu push the bu push the button

English translation

The world is full of terror

Messages blow up all around me
Missiles fly around and fall on top of me
Cops and robbers run all over me
Stompin' down on me, messin' around with me
Alelai, Alelai, are you there, God, it's me?
This nightmare’s going on just way too long for me
When I'm barely alive, the target’s aimed at me,
Might be too early to say
"I Gave My Life for Thee"
Why, why, police patrol
Wow, wow, paramedical
Here it is in the prelims, a song with no "salam"
Red's not just any color, it’s more like blood
Again I stop the breathing in my heart
So my inner soul won't bust out
Here it's a war, here it's CPR
Boom, boom, that’s what goes on here
Between a rocket and machete,
Writer and viewer
Leverage and hostage,
Heat wave wet weather
Escalating up the stairs, locate on the border
Nothin', nothin', that's what everybody's doin'
Radicals radicalize, officers officiate
Naïve people moderate, statistics they await
They retaliate: We're all resigned to fate

In a world crammed full of demons,
We're nothing but miniscule peons
And champions with Jetons
Decide what the deal will be
Lazy managers give orders,
Ocean liner filled with water
And everyone drinks up to life while
Sinking underneath the sea

Could be.. far too risky..
I should sing a song of palm trees,
And a desert void of flags
Still, I'm.. alive, alive, alive..
And if it keeps on being so scary
It's only then that I will say..
I'm gonna push the button
Push the button push the bu push the bu
Push the button

2007-03-15 [Sabrina Catherine]: dang.... no offense to isreal.... but they suck... they're trying to be cool.... but they are soooo not.... they are so ridiculous...

2007-03-15 [Hedda]: Eh, what? No, they are not trying to be cool. It's a parody song. The Indian and French rapping are pretty cool though.

I don't think this song is enough to send the Eurovision to the Middle East though.

2007-03-15 [Hedda]: (Which means: Israel will not win and the contest will therefore not be there next year.)

2007-03-15 [Hedda]: But I think they will get pretty many votes.

2007-03-15 [.Kazuki.]: ^_^ Go Israel! *nods knowinlgy* it could be because im jewish, but i want them to win ^_^

2007-03-15 [Hedda]: The problem is that this song just isn't that fun anymore when you think about that Israel is the most likely country to start a nuclear war (Read "preemptive strike") <img:mood11-gif.gif>

Swedes can make jokes about invading Poland, but Germans can't. And I think this song is in the "can't" box.

2007-03-15 [graw]:
What pisses me off is that people think that all Israeli songs are so stupid. Only the Eurovision ones are (mostly anyway).
I'm Israeli and I do not want them to win. It’s a moronic song!
I'm a patriot no doubt about it. I've shed my blood for the country. However the Eurovision is a joke. Israeli's couldn’t care less about it therefore they send silly stuff to it. I'm not saying its ok. In fact I think its retarded. We have such incredible talent here and such AMAZING music, Jewish music.
Yet we just send clone garbage stuff trying to be like others.
Israel doesn’t want to start any wars. I've been in a war and I can tell you that I'm not eager to go back.
We just want to be left alone to live in peace. Who knows, maybe then we'll start sending some good groups to the Eurovision. Till then, yeah its a joke. We've got more important things on our mind!
(I commented here and in the Israeli wiki, figured more people would see it here).
this is just an example. This is a fun song (the guys in the clip are not the band, just a bunch of guys lip-syncing to the real song): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR_vBo1LJ0Q
Here's an excellent Israeli band:
1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIhs6Vl8y1k
2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnMBZttmiqA&mode=related&search=
Tell me those aren’t nice songs! And obviously these are only a few examples...

2007-03-17 [graw]: oh and by the way. The band (which I hate), their name is
T-Pex. Not Teapacks. haha. Though I cant stand Kobi Oz and I figure he aught to have some tea packs thrown at him. If Synergia was in the contest Israel would win for sure... Check out the last two links in my comment above to hear them.

2007-03-18 [Hedda]: I hope you're sure about the name... I changed it now.

I can also say that I like "Push The Button" better than the songs mentioned here. You'll probably say the same if I said that Sweden should have sent Hammerfall instead of The Ark:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpM7-Fcsd58

But... No one can disagree that UK should have sent Judas Priest!

2007-03-18 [Hedda]: Or... It's better if UK sends then next year.

2007-03-18 [.Kazuki.]: Hmm i agree actually ^^;... the Eurovision songs kinda do SUCK..... but some songs ive heard in Hebrew are extremely good, i have been known to steal my mums cds XD

2007-03-21 [graw]: you like push the button better then Synergia?? wow. thats a first...

2007-03-24 [.Kazuki.]: no.... i just said... i honeslty do NOT like Push the button... to tell the truth it could be one of the worst songs ive ever seen... ^_^i said i LIKED Hebrew songs tho, Israeli songs! just not.... Eurovision ones.... although Diva by Dana International WAS very good

2007-03-24 [graw]: Lol. Emo, I didnt mean you. Read Hedda's comment. He says he likes them. Ick! (sorry hedda).
I hated Dana's one. I cant remember the last time I liked an Israeli song. Which is why after watching the eurovision for 10 years straight, I simply stoppped. I can now proudly say I have not seen a Eurovision in three years nor do I plan on ever watching one again!

2007-03-25 [Hedda]: [graw]: So you missed the 3 best years! I think it's great fun now when they have very different styles in the contest.

2007-03-25 [graw]: To each their own [Hedda]. I'm happy without it. lol. American Idol is giving me enough heartburn with that moron Senjaya.
